I graduated from Harvard in 2014, doing a combined concentration in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry and Physics. While at Harvard I performed research in both biochemistry and physics, and my thesis on Nanoscale MRI received highest honors. I also taught upper level physics courses for 2 years, work for which I earned the Derek Bok Teaching Award. Upon graduation I was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to go to Germany, where I spent a year researching techniques for biosensing using optical fiber-based microcavities. This year I'm starting my PhD at MIT, where I'll be working on advanced photonic circuits for use in quantum communication protocols. Outside of the lab, my other love is music - though don't tell my girlfriend I said that! In college I played viola with the Bach Society Orchestra and sang with the Harvard Krokodiloes, the latter of which gave me the amazing opportunity to travel the world to places like China, Turkey, France, and beyond to perform.
